Terms of Use
Spreetz is currently offered as a limited pilot rather than a generally available product. These terms describe the service as it stands today and will be updated as it develops.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating a Spreetz account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Spreetz.
2. What Spreetz is
Spreetz is an educational study tool. It helps you turn study material into question practice and keeps a record of that practice so you can see your progress. It is offered to support your own study and revision.
3. Spreetz is not medical advice
Spreetz does not provide medical advice and is not a clinical decision aid. It must not be used to diagnose, treat or manage any patient.
Content in Spreetz — including questions, answers and explanations, whether written by you or generated from your material — is study material. It may be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong. It is not a substitute for authoritative clinical sources, your curriculum, your supervisors, or your own professional judgement. Always verify clinically important information against a reliable source.
4. Your material
You are responsible for what you import into Spreetz. By uploading material you confirm that you are permitted to use it in this way and that doing so does not breach anyone else's rights or any obligation you are under.
Do not upload identifiable patient information. Spreetz is a study tool and is not designed or intended to hold patient records.
You keep whatever rights you already hold in the material you upload. You allow us to store and process it for the sole purpose of providing the service to you — for example generating practice questions from it and showing it back to you.
5. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- attempt to access another user's account, material or study data;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or circumvent the security of the service;
- use the service to store or distribute unlawful material;
- upload material you have no right to use;
- resell or redistribute the service or its content as your own;
- use automated means to extract content in bulk.
6. Automatically generated content
Some content is produced automatically from the material you provide. Automatic generation can misread a source, omit context, or produce a question or explanation that is wrong. Treat generated content as a study aid to be checked, not as a verified reference.
7. Intellectual property
Spreetz, including its software, design and branding, remains the property of its owner. These terms give you permission to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of it to you.
Material you upload remains yours, as described in section 4.
8. Availability and changes
Spreetz is a pilot service and is provided on an “as available” basis. It may be unavailable at times, features may change or be removed, and the service may be suspended or discontinued. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and you should not rely on Spreetz as the only place your study material exists — keep your own copies.
9. No guaranteed outcomes
Spreetz does not guarantee any examination result, academic outcome, or level of clinical competence. What it offers is a structured way to practise and an honest record of that practice. Your results depend on far more than any one tool.
10. Limits on liability
Spreetz is provided without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by the law that applies to you. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data, or for any outcome arising from reliance on content within the service.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Suspension and ending your use
You may stop using Spreetz at any time. We may suspend or withdraw access where it is being used in breach of these terms, or where doing so is necessary to protect the service or its users.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the service develops. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. Continuing to use Spreetz after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Contact
Spreetz is operated by Wale Okufi. For questions about these terms, or about privacy and your personal data, email waleokufi@yahoo.com.
